PARTNERSHIP LEVELS
Thank you for considering partnering with the Stratford Symphony
Orchestra. Together we will sustain the contribution that the orchestra
makes to the residents of Stratford/Perth and environs. It is said
‘it takes a village…” and it is no less so for the SSO. Our community is
one of the most creative in Canada, and so alongside legions of
Stratford/Perth’s creative people and organizations, the Stratford
Symphony proudly takes its place.
The work of the musicians, board, music director, volunteers and
administration goes on day-in / day-out all year long. This year will
see a season expanded to eight performances, and, we hope, to ten
the following year. The detailed preparation that goes into these
concerts is astonishing and requires enormous dedication from all
who make up the SSO. Come and be a part of the Stratford
Symphony Family by offering both your financial and moral support.
And then… take a deep bow. BRAVO!
MAESTRO’S CIRCLE
Membership in the Maestro’s Circle brings the added fun of some
social gathering. Still in inception and planning this new opportunity
will support the orchestra while having salons, lectures and the fun
of meeting more music lovers.

SEASON SPONSOR
(currently available)
This is an annual exclusive category for an organization or
individual to assist with the overall presentation of the SSO
season. Recognition is prominent on all SSO electronic and
print materials for all concerts throughout the season. Eight
tickets for each event of the season are offered.
GUEST ARTIST SPONSOR
(some concerts currently available)
Meet the artist. This opportunity helps underwrite the cost of
the guest artist. Generous recognition is given in the print and
electronic materials for the evening. You and your party will be
given the opportunity to meet the artist. Bring along with you
five additional friends, clients or potential clients to this event.
COMMUNITY RELATIONS
SPONSOR
(taken – Stratford/Perth County Community Foundation)
Building strong relationships throughout Stratford/Perth is just good citizenship. This opportunity has been specific to building
the strategic alliance between the SSO and the Stratford
Central Secondary School’s music students in the Arts and
Culture Specialist High Skills Major programme. The SSO will
have student representatives who are ambassadors at SCSS to
form an SCSS/SSO Maestro’s Circle. Maestro Summers visits
the senior music classes and lectures on the repertoire of the
upcoming concert. Students are offered SSO tickets at five
dollars and are also welcome to observe the orchestra in
rehearsal. Other opportunities present themselves for those
students interested in symphony production logistics and
stagecraft. The funding partnership helps to underwrite the
cost of tickets, music director and administration.

THE PRINCIPALS’ PREROGATIVE
SPONSORSHIP
(available)
The noble tradition of named chairs dates back centuries to illustrious
origins in academia. A named chair in the Stratford Symphony
bestows honour on the musician who holds the chair, as well as the
person(s) or organization that give it. As a group of diverse individuals
working together towards a common goal, an orchestra provides
one of the finest and most deeply moving examples of a working
partnership. We invite you to join this partnership and help the Stratford Symphony to further its mandate of providing Stratford/Perth with outstanding presentations of some of the world’s great orchestral literature.

LUDWIG SPONSOR FUND
(all welcome at any level)
Help us with our wish list and ‘bang your own drum.’ This area of
funding is extremely important too. Symphony orchestras
require a lot of very expensive percussion equipment in particular. We’re a young orchestra and need our own tympani that can easily cost fifty thousand dollars and more. All those banged-on
bits you see them using are brought in by the grace-and-favour
of schools, universities and good neighbours. This fund will help us acquire our own instruments from bass drum, xylophone, glockenspiel and even someday a concert grand.
BE GREEN WEBSITE SPONSOR
(taken – RioCan)
More and more we live by the web. Patrons want to be able to
see what we’re doing, what we have to offer, and to purchase online. Websites need to be clean, clear, have a lot of information and look nice. We think the SSO website is particularly well
done and helpful. This doesn’t just happen. It takes an enormous
amount of design and technical know-how to create a
useful website and the highly trained professionals that make it
happen are not inexpensive. In many ways our website is our
‘front door’ if you will, and like yours at home it needs to be
welcoming and interesting. This funding-partnership helps underwrite the cost of website design, technical elements, hosting and maintenance.

THE BWV-KÖCHEL FUND
(available)
The sheet music from which the SSO musicians play is a significant
behind-the-scenes expense, both financially and in human
resources. A critical member of the administration team, SSO
Librarian Corey Rempel spends countless hours communicating with
music libraries and publishers around the world, researching copyright
regulations and arranging for the purchase or rental of the
correct editions of the physical parts you see on the musicians’
stands. When the music arrives, the Librarian’s job is far from done. Corey checks parts for accuracy, transcribes the concertmaster’s bowings into the parts, and works with the personnel manager to
ensure the musicians have their parts well in advance of the first rehearsal. Your support of the BWV-Köchel fund ensures the orchestra can continue to play the great music we all want to hear.
GUTENBERG SPONSOR
(currently available)
Not unlike the website sponsor our Gutenberg Sponsorship opportunity
helps with the soaring cost of print materials in both design and
printing. We are committed to being as Green as we can be and our
marketing materials are designed to point people toward our website.
However, we still want to see visuals that can be touched and
held onto for reading now, or for future reference. The cost of putting
our best foot forward is considerable and this funding-partnership
helps to underwrite print costs. As you no doubt have already noted
this opportunity is available and a ‘White Knight’ is needed. The Gutenberg sponsor is recognized on both print and electronic material. Four season’s tickets to all events are offered.
